The following list is a compilation of software titles that we personally recommend and use on our computers everyday. Please know that the statements below are of course our personal opinions, and should in no way dissuade you from using any other software. All are free or at least incredibly cheaper than the popular (and expensive) software on the store shelves today. We can install and configure any software on to your computer. Mozilla Thunderbird - Thunderbird delivers. Enjoy safe, fast, and easy email, with intelligent spam filters, quick message search, and customizable views. Brought to you by Mozilla, Thunderbird makes email better.
Sun OpenOffice V. 2.3.1. - Why pay for M$ Office when you have this free office software that's better.
EssentialPIM - the powerfully simple Personal Information Manager
ZoneAlarm Firewall - This is one of the best firewalls available, and the most popular. And Free!
Picassa 2 - This awesome photo organizer and viewer from Google is extremely slick. It organizes photos according to when they were taken, and can make excellent slide shows. And it is totally free.
Nvu HTML Editor - This is a WYSIWYG html editor that is free, yet, can compete with the big html editors like Dreamweaver and MS Frontpage. Its simple to use, totally free, and available for other OSs.
FoxIt PDF Reader - If your not happy having to install Adobe Reader, only to wait and wait for it to startup just to read your PDFs, then this is a dream come true! Install it and it comes up "instantly". And it is free!
AVAST AntiVirus - since 1988, one of the best freeware AV applications out there!
Ad-Aware SE Personal - This is the original spyware removal tool, and is still one of the best.
A-SQUARED FREE - Security must not be a privilege. Under this motto, Emsi Software provides the Malware scanner a-squared Free completely free of charge for private use.
AntiVir Personal - Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic reliably protects your private computer against dangerous viruses, worms, Trojans and costly dialers.
AVG AntiVirus Personal - The most popular antivirus software out there, and completely free for the home users.
SpyBot Search & Destroy - Spybot-S&D, the best (PC World, PCMag.com, etc.) privacy software available!
Webroot SpySweeper - helping people stay safer on the Internet!
MS Windows Defender - Windows Defender is a free program that helps protect your computer against pop-ups, slow performance, and security threats caused by spyware and other unwanted software.
GIMP - GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.
Paint.NET - Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows. It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools.
